2024 BQLT Call for Board Candidates!

The Brooklyn Queens Land Trust is seeking candidates to serve as members of the BQLT Board of Directors for a 2-year term starting May 2024. Board members enjoy the opportunity to connect with and support the 37 gardens in BQLT’s network, and creatively collaborate with fellow community leaders to ensure these public spaces are protected in perpetuity.

Experience and specific skills such as: property management; community organizing; accounting; social media and marketing; finance or banking; event planning; environmental science; property law; and/or fundraising and grant-writing would all be valuable assets for the Board. Board members are asked to volunteer 15 hours per month, which includes monthly Board and Committee meetings (remote and hybrid meeting options). Board Elections take place at the BQLT Annual Membership Meeting on Sat. April 6th 2024 10am-12noon at a Brooklyn venue.

>As a member gardener, you may nominate yourself by completing and submitting the attached form with a resume by March 1st, 2024 by 5pm.

>As a resource member, a community member who is not a member at a BQLT garden, you may nominate yourself by completing and submitting the attached form with a resume March 1st, 2024 by 5pm.
