2025 BrooklynGives Campaign: Nov. 12th – Dec. 31st midnight

Event Overview

The Brooklyn Queens Land Trust (BQLT) is now in its second decade so join us in raising $21,000 for our 21st Anniversary! Donate on our 2025 BrooklynGives Fundraising Campaign Page before Dec. 31st 2025 midnight!

We manage more than three acres — 37 community gardens — of shared community green spaces. We are in 18 diverse neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens. Many of our gardens date back to the 1970s and 80s and have long been hubs for growing food and gathering neighbors together.

Your gift today will help strengthen the social fabric of these communities while making them healthier, safer, and more sustainable.

Brooklyn Queens Land Trust (BQLT) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that owns and stewards 35 community gardens in 18 neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens. In 2014, BQLT launched an affiliate garden program and now stewards two additional community gardens. BQLT manages and enhances all 37 properties for the benefit of the public. BQLT gardens are open spaces that provide opportunities for diverse groups of people to meet and cooperatively work together, as well as to engage in educational, cultural and arts activities.
