Street Tree TLC Workshop

Event Overview

Did you know New York City is classified as an urban forest? More than 7 million trees cover over a fifth of the city, cleaning and cooling the air around us. Though long-lived, they face numerous challenges every day, like animal waste, road salt and, unfortunately, vandalism. Life may not be easy for them, but we can do our best to make sure they’re taken care of.

Join Trees NY and BQLT for a workshop hosted by Woodbine Street Block Association Garden on how to preserve and protect New York’s oldest residents. Together, we’ll clean up street tree beds, water, mulch and learn how to identify and remove invasive spotted lanternfly egg casings.

Date & Time: Sunday, September 15th 11:00 AM

Location: Woodbine Street Block Association Garden, 146 Woodbine St., Brooklyn, NY 11221
