Transit Garden (Affiliate Garden)

Overview:

The Transit Garden is a community garden at the corner of Smith Street and Second Place, in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. It has been in operation for more than 20 years. Members tend container-based plots and care for communal plants and landscaping. The Transit Garden also hosts performances and gardening workshops and events. As of April 2, 2022, the Transit Garden joins the BQLT as our second affiliate garden. A long-term agreement with the MTA ensures that with BQLT’s support, the community can continue to use this garden for years to come.
