Our first Summer Jazz series was a success!
Each of the six performances was a blast. Artists featured at each garden in order of the date played were: Shanto, Sharp Radway, Ifacho Okeke, John Smith, Camille Gainer Jones, and Reggie Woods.
We'd like to thank the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium for a wonderful partnership for a lovely event series. We were able to work together to bring live jazz performances from renowned artists to different communities throughout Brooklyn and Queens. A great thanks to the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, NYC Department of Youth and Community Development and the NYC City Council for their ongoing support which also helps us bring programs like this to your commuities.
We'd like to also say thank you for coming out to our gardens for some free jazz, and spending your time with us in some of our gardens! We could not have done it without you or your support. We had over 200 attendees in total across the six concerts, and a special visit from Councilman I. Daneek Miller at 227th St. Cambria Heights Community Garden!
