Communal Spaces Festival

BQLT has partnered with The Motor Company to bring their annual outdoor festival to some of our gardens this year! There will be five gardens participating in the 3-weekend long festival:
Northside Community Garden
The People’s Garden
Contented Hart Garden
Concerned Citizens of Grove Street Community Garden
Woodbine Street Block Association Garden
The festival is expected to take place over the last three weekends in September:
Sat/Sun, September 14-15, 2019
Sat/Sun, September 21-22, 2019
Sat/Sun, September 28-29, 2019
The festival aims to engage the community beyond simply interaction, but by bringing the community into the performances as well. Art Directors are working with all five garden groups to encourage and invite neighbors with hidden talents and passions for the theater arts. Anyone who is part of the community surrounding those gardens who have any level of skill or experience is welcomed to become a part of the plays in those respective gardens. It doesn’t matter if you want to write, act, narrate, anything is fair game! If you are interested, please get in touch with the garden ASAP to get connected.
Stay updated with these events by checking back on our home page for more information as we get closer to the dates!
