This year, HCX is pleased to commemorate their 10th anniversary with the New York City community! Throughout the month of June, Ayiti eXperimental will highlight the best and boldest of Haitian creatives in New York and Haiti — fusing genre, perspective, and environment in celebration of HCX’s unique vision for nuanced representation of Haitian culture. Several of these events will be happening in a couple of BQLT gardens throughout June. See flyer below for full calendar of Ayiti eXperimental events or click here.

Some of the events to be featured in BQLT gardens will be:

                           Rogers/Tilden/Veronica Place Garden
2601-2603 Tilden Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226
Events:  Banm On Ti Limyè: Tribute to Manno Charlemagne

                            Westbrook Memorial Garden
1233 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, NY 11216
Events: Haiti Film Fest Pop Up | Screenings & Ann Pale
Ayiti eXperimental Dance Performance & Ann Pale
                                             Ayiti eXperimental Closing Night Party

We'd like to thank Haiti Cultural Exchange for their ongoing partnership to bring Haitian culture to different BQLT gardens in neighborhoods that have robust Haitian communities as well as inform and expose Haitian culture to those who frequent community gardens within our network. As always, thanks to the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, NYC Department of Youth and Community Development and the NYC City Council for their ongoing support which also helps us bring programs like this to your communities.
