Our 7th Annual Bike & Walking Community Garden Tour was a huge success thanks to you! Thank you to all attendees who joined us for either a walk or a light bike route around some of our Bushwick and Bed-Stuy gardens on Saturday, September 15th.
Here are some of the key highlights:
- Nan Blackshear, a representative for Brooklyn Borough President participated and spoke on behalf of BP Adams. She really enjoyed the tour, and appreciated the participation of all of you!
- Over at La Finca on the Bike Tour, gardeners and participants were able to run into Boris Santos from Antonio Reynoso's office!
- Our Time Press wrote a story about the tour! Check it out: "Community Gardens are Urban Oases."
- We were able to raise almost $700 thanks to all of you! We wouldn't be able to make events like this happen without your continous support!

Thank you for celebrating with us once again at our annual Celebration of Gardens. Our gardeners need to be appreciated for all of their hard work and seeing the support from not only other BQLT gardens and gardeners, but also representatives from other organizations and garden groups that understand the work that has gone into the gardens over the years. We definitely had fun with Haiti Cultural Exchange once again; with Haitian Jazz Saxophonist Buyu Ambroise, and jokes from a new young gardener at Greene Garden!
We enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones at our 10th Annual Celebration of Gardens this past Saturday, November 3rd, and we’d love to see you again next year! Stay updated by joining our mailing list and keeping in touch.
