BQLT’s 2024 Urban Ag Grant Endeavors

A wonderful new garden pathway, new metal raised garden beds, a plant giveaway, several workshops, and a tool library were all made possible by an Urban Farms and Community Gardens Grant ($22,000) from the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets. This grant ultimately supported all BQLT gardens to increase food production during the 2024 Season!

BQLT Awarded a 2024 NYS Conservation Partnership Program Grant

The Brooklyn Queens Land Trust (BQLT) was awarded a 2024 grant from the NYS Conservation Partnership Program (NYSCPP). Funding will enable BQLT to hire a Part-time Executive Director!

The Brooklyn Queens Land Trust is proud to highlight Zachary Schulman's 2023 "The Community Gardener Portrait Project: Brooklyn" that included four BQLT gardens and eight of their gardeners: 1100 Block Bergen Street Community Garden, Clifton Place Block Association Garden, Mama Dee's Garden and Woodbine Street Block Association Garden.
